2020 - 2021 School Year
In light of COVID-19, the 2020-2021 school year will operate under modified class scheduling.
Our Classes
Morning Glory
Days: Wednesday and Thursday
Times: 8:45am-11:15am
Ages: For children 2 ½ +
Tuition: Ranges from $125-$260 (based upon participation; see Family Requirements Worksheet for details)
The Morning Glory class curriculum revolves around experiential learning and introduction to real-life events and understandings. We start each school year with curriculum that introduces the children to materials and routines and then extends to connect children with one another and the world around them. The curriculum infuses learning into daily activities and routines; all while nurturing self-awareness, expressive language, problem-solving, and self-advocacy. Children will participate in circle time, art, sensory, snack, dramatic play, movement, introductory literacy and math activities in an intentionally- organized environment prepared expressly for the unique needs of the group. Potty training strongly preferred but not required ($30 monthly diaper fee may apply).
Butterfly
Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
Times: 8:45-11:45am
Ages: For children 3¼ up to 6 years
Tuition: Ranges from $230-$365 (based upon participation; see Family Requirements Worksheet for details)
The Butterfly class provides a wide-range of developmental and cognitive opportunities with two overarching themes—social communication and problem-solving. While the children have ongoing opportunities for art, dramatic play, sensory and outdoor activities, handwriting, movement, and math experiences, we facilitate cooperation, pro-social interactions, and enable (through emotional, physical, and verbal support) interactive problem-solving between children. We set up the space on a daily basis to directly reflect interests and abilities expressed by the children on prior school days while incorporating traditional academic concepts through play and language. Each day consists of the same routine that provides circle time, story time, snack, indoor/outdoor format, classroom socializing and play--but no two days ever look the same! This class is best for children who have had at least one prior year of preschool experience. Potty training required.
Explorer
Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
Times: 8:45am-1:45pm
Ages: For children eligible for TK or Kindergarten
Tuition: $355-$490 (based upon participation; see Family Requirements Worksheet for details)
This class uses inquiry-based projects and learning that cover all areas of development—socialization, problem-solving, literacy, math, social studies, language development, science and writing. This well-researched, proven method of education provides plenty of opportunity for real learning. A portion of the day is spent in a mixed-age setting followed by Explorer-exclusive project-work, activities, and limited choices. With the smaller class of up to 10 children, children are able to receive a highly-responsive, individualized early education. (Preference based upon prior preschool experience and current-year TK eligibility).
Parent/Toddler
Days: This class is offered Wednesdays OR Thursdays
Times: 9:30am-11:00am
Ages: For children 18 months up to 36 months old
Tuition: $270 per semester
These classes expose children to social interaction, hands-on art and sensory activities, music/rhythm, and gross motor movement. We start each class with Welcome Circle-- a song/fingerplay, a greeting for each child and some brief parent education. We then move into Discovery Time where the children are free to explore the indoor and outdoor environment where they can choose from a wide variety of materials and activities. Following clean-up, we meet for Gathering Circle which includes music/movement, a small snack and storytime.
An adult must attend the class with the child. Children are not required to be potty-trained.
